Our approach to transparency

We strive to be as open and transparent as possible. This site includes a range of information about our organisation, and how we operate. We publish information about our performance, what we spend our funds on, and how we are governed. This enables anyone with an interest in our work to hold us to account. Find out how you can request information about us.

Our publication scheme

A publication scheme is a commitment to proactively publish certain classes of information. It enables us to fulfil our obligations under section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Our scheme follows the Information Commissioners Officer (ICO) model publication scheme.

Previous versions of our website and corresponding publications are available on our National Archives website.

We do not charge for any information published under the links, lists and registers below.

Expenses, Register of Interests and Gifts and Hospitality Register

As part of our commitment to transparency we regularly publish our leadership team's expenses and register of interests. We also publish a register of gifts and hospitality covering all of our staff.

The Director General and non-executive director expenses are approved by the Head of Chief Executive’s Office and the expenses of executive directors are approved by the relevant line manager. To ensure that expenditure on accommodation and travel provides value for money we use the Crown Commercial Services frameworks.
