External event participation - Position statement

This document aims to provide transparency about when the IOPC will participate in externally organised events by outlining the factors which will be taken into account when deciding whether to attend.  

Where the IOPC does attend external events, we will do so only when attendance will support the furthering of our statutory duty and strategic objectives, in line with our values, and not with a view to endorsing the events, its organiser, or other attendees. We have also published frequently asked questions below, which aims to anticipate some of the questions that stakeholders and service users may have about this policy position.
