Focus – Issue 24 – Suspending investigations and Other Handling Procedures

Focus gives police force professional standards departments (PSDs) and local policing bodies (LPBs) practical guidance on dealing with complaints, conduct matters, and death or serious injury cases. It supports them to handle complaints appropriately and improves standards. This issue relates to Suspending Investigations and Other Handling Procedures.

The supplementary learning tool was written to support Focus 24, to help complaint handlers understand and apply the process for suspending investigations and other handling.
