Derbyshire Constabulary - PC accused of assault on teenage boy in care home

Investigation overview

Our investigation into PC James Wilkinson followed two complaints from members of the public and a subsequent referral from Derbyshire Constabulary. We launched an independent investigation on 28 March 2025. 

PC Wilkinson is accused of assaulting a 17-year-old boy at a care home in Chesterfield.
