This publication is a leaflet summarising the IOPC Youth Panel’s 2030 Manifesto for Change.
The manifesto is the result of significant national research, consultation and co-production. It sets out ten bold recommendations to improve trust and confidence in policing and the police complaints system, including:
- proactive community engagement and co-production with young people
- mandatory use of body-worn video
- trauma-informed, neurodiversity, and mental health training for all officers
- an accessible complaints system, including an online dashboard
- an advocacy services for young complainants
- stronger victim-centred investigations
