Met Police staff member to appear at court charged with theft

As the result of an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) directed investigation, a member of Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) civilian staff will appear in court accused of theft.

Neerju Mohamedally, based at Ilford police station, is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 4 February 2021. It is alleged she stole cash handed in as lost property.

The investigation, conducted by the MPS anti-corruption command, concluded with a file of evidence being presented to the Crown Prosecution Service.
