Lancashire Constabulary officer in court charged with corruption-related offences

A Lancashire Constabulary officer with alleged links to an organised crime group is due in court to face two corruption-related charges following an Independent Office for Police Conduct directed investigation.

PC Hakeem Mahmood, 30, who was investigated by Lancashire Constabulary’s Anti-Corruption Unit, under our direction and control, will appear at Burnley Crown Court on Friday 14 August.

Mahmood is alleged to have conspired with others to supply a Class A drug and participated in the criminal activities of an organised crime group between August 2024 and January 2026.
           
On conclusion of the investigation in June 2026, the case was referred to the Crown Prosecution Service, who authorised the charges of conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug and corrupt/improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a police constable. He was arrested on 24 June 2026.
