Enhanced engagement - Information for families

A guide for families about enhanced engagement. In the most serious investigations, we provide the opportunity for families (or their representatives) to view or receive more information than the law requires us to, including:

• where someone has died; or 
• been so seriously injured, they cannot engage with our investigation themselves.

To ensure effective enhanced engagement throughout these investigations, we will:

• share enhanced information with families (or their representatives); and
• record their responses and consider any representations they make.
