A former Met Police officer is due to appear in court next week charged with multiple fraud and corruption-related offences, following an investigation directed by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Sunna Harrison-Aziz is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 5 May to face ten charges:

  • five charges of corrupt or improper exercise of police powers and privileges
  • four charges under the Fraud Act (2006)
  • one charge of perverting the course of justice

The former police constable was charged following an investigation carried out by the Met Police’s Anti-Corruption and Abuse Command, under our direction and control.

The charges relate to allegedly carrying out checks on police computer systems on behalf of third parties and for alleged fraudulent receipt claims for expensive items purchased online.

We began our directed investigation in October 2022. Following the conclusion of the investigation in November 2024, a file of evidence was referred to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the charges.
